Workshops for educators

Conference Organizers: I would look forward to providing for your conference an upbeat, highly interactive music and poetry workshop, break-out session, or keynote address.

As a former elementary and middle school educator of twelve years with a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and as an author and widely published poet and a national-award winning songwriter, I am happy to present on any of the following topics.
 

  • Keynote music presentations (a high-participation keynote alternative!)

  • Inviting poetry into the classroom

  • Inviting music into the classroom

  • Using music and poetry to encourage literacy

  • Encouraging creativity and expression in the writing process

  • Using fingerplays and movement activities with young children (ECE)

  • Young Authors keynotes and workshops
